Now in our fourth year, the BHSTC is a student run theater company that provides students with real-world, hands-on experience and builds transferable work and life skills through creating theater. We might not have a traditional theater space, but we have a ton of heart!
Each year as our program grows, so does our students' experiences! So far in addition to acting, improv and performance training, our students have been able to direct, write, stage manage, and design costumes and sets. Company members have started by volunteering to work the door through the years graduated to being the lead in a play.
The Company makes all decisions in a collective manner under the supervision of theater director and theater/film teacher, Jen Arellano. We take pride in working together to set our season of plays each year by keeping in mind BHSTC's guiding principle: "BHSTC will create theater to entertain and make people think."
